About API and Our Chapter
API Chapters work to promote fellowship and professional development through the exchange of industry experience and the utilization of industry-related meeting programs among members. In addition, API Chapters support their local communities by sponsoring a number of civic-minded events each year. To that effect, API Kansas offers several scholarship opportunities and also organizes community outreach projects designed to benefit those working in the oil & gas industry as well as benefitting the region as a whole.
At this time, there are more than 30 active API chapters with 9,412 members in 12 states. Most chapters meet monthly or quarterly.**

Membership is open to any person residing in Kansas engaged in the petroleum or a related industry.
Chapter membership does not require or constitute national API, corporate or individual membership, and there are no national dues.
Educational Outreach
API Kansas emphasizes scholarships for local, graduating high school students. Our scholarship is available for all four years while the awarded student is enrolled in a post-secondary institution. Please see click API Scholarship for more information
Community Service
Our Chapter has consistently supported local community service projects and charities over the years and will strive to continue our support in the years to come.
Fellowship and Fundraisers
Our annual golf tournament is our Chapter's primary event of the year in addition to the activities related to the scholarships. The tournament is held in September each year. Please check the Meeting/Events for more information as it is available.
